# Create a Trend Micro Apex One API Key

#### Step 1:&#x20;

* Authenticate to the Apex server's web UI.
* In the upper-left toolbar, select **Administration**, then select **Settings**, and then select **Automation API Access Settings**.&#x20;

#### Step 2:&#x20;

* Select **Add** to display the **Application Access Settings** pop-up window.\

#### Step 3:&#x20;

* In **Application name**, enter a name for the API application. "Epiphany" or "EIP" is recommended for a unique name for the application. The **Application ID**, **API Key**, and **Server URL** will be used to make API calls from the collector.
