## About This Document

This guide details the steps necessary to connect Rapid7 Nexpose to the Epiphany Intelligence Platform. The Epiphany Intelligence Platform leverages data from tools like Nexpose to provide greater visibility into the network exposures in your environment.

## **Overview**

Rapid7 Nexpose allows API access by virtue of a username and password combination, which can be created in the management console by an admin user.

The Epiphany Intelligence Platform only requires reader access to Rapid7 Nexpose, which is one of the default roles within the system.

There are ways to set do this; either is acceptable:

* Create a new user, who would be designated for use by Epiphany, and generate an API key.
* Leverage an existing user and follow the steps to generate an API key.

## **Version Compatibility**

* **Epiphany Site Collector:** Epiphany Version 1.0 and later.
* **Rapid7 Nexpose:** Nexpose API v3 or later.

## **Prerequisites**

* [ ] Access to the Nexpose dashboard.
* [ ] Ability to create a user or access to an existing user with the read-only role.

## **What is Needed for Integration**

* [ ] The username of the user.
* [ ] The password of the user.
* [ ] The URL for the Nexpose instance.
