## About This Document

This guide details the steps necessary to connect BeyondTrust Privileged Identity (PI) appliances to the Epiphany Intelligence Platform.  The Epiphany Intelligence Platform leverages credentials from this appliance to perform integrations to other data sources.

## Overview

BeyondTrust PI credential data can be collected securely via its REST API.

The Epiphany Intelligence Platform requires an Explicit User Account for Privileged Identity.

There are two options to accomplish this; either method is acceptable:

* **Option 1 - New User:** Create a new user designated for use by Epiphany, and provide it the proper privileges. 
* **Option 2 - Existing User:** Leverage an existing user and follow the steps to ensure it has the correct privileges to collect all necessary data. 

## Version Compatibility

* **Epiphany Intelligence Platform Site Collector**: Version 1.0 and later.
* **BeyondTrust PI**: Version 5.5.4 and later.

## Prerequisites

* [ ] Access to the BeyondTrust Privileged Identity management console.
* [ ] Ability to create a user, or access to an existing user with rights to the credentials of the needed assets.

## What is Needed for Integration <a href="#hlk85191078" id="hlk85191078"></a>

* [ ] An Explicit Account username and password with access to the necessary data source credentials.
* [ ] The URL of the BeyondTrust Privileged Identity appliance.
