# Rename an Endpoint: Alias

Users can rename an Endpoint on the Endpoints Table. This operation only works on this tab, on other sections of the platform the original Host Name will be displayed.

To rename a host do the following:

1. Click on the icon <img src="/files/MlJMJg8IKvRi9JFsaeQZ" alt="" data-size="original"> in the Actions column, the EndPoint Details window will be displayed.
2. Select the General Information Section.
3. Locate the Alias Section.
4. &#x20;Click on the edit icon <img src="/files/VliNAbMVTdWuyvmGvmwD" alt="" data-size="line">. The Alias field will change to be edited. Select a name for the Endpoint and click on the <img src="/files/Dr295Jn236h3MjVxp0Dg" alt="" data-size="original"> icon to save the name.
5. On the Endpoints Table, the Alias name is Displayed.

The Alias is only available for the Endpoints table. In all other sections of the EVE platform, the original name (Host Name) will be displayed.
