# Create a New Carbon Black Cloud User

#### Step 1: 

* Log into the Carbon Black Cloud UI using your assigned credentials.
* Select **Settings** and then select **Users**.\

#### Step 2:

* Complete the **Add User** pop-up as shown below:&#x20;

An email account belonging to your organization will be used for security purposes.

* Select **Save**.

## **Activate the New Account**

#### Step 3:&#x20;

* An invitation email is sent to the email address you entered in step 2 above. Open it and select the **Activate Now** link, which goes to the Carbon Black Hosted EDR.

* Create a password that follows your organization’s password policy.\

* Select the **Accept** button.
