# Create a Role
Navigate to Administration -> Access Control -> Roles
Click “New” and enter the Role name. Here we’ve used “Epiphany API User” as the Role name so it clearly denotes what this role will be used for. In the bottom selection window, scroll down to Permissions and check “Modify Permissions.” This is the only permission needed by this role.
In the Roles window, validate that “Modify Permissions” is the only permission assigned to this new Role.
