# Backup of the Virtual Machine with Golden Image

After the user have successfully installed the EVE agent, it is strongly recommended that the user take a snapshot of the virtual machine. It is important to have a snapshot of the system to avoid having to reconfigure the system after an emulation attack that may execute a malicious program artifact on the Endpoint.

It will require rolling back the VM to the snapshot to restore the "clean" VM for repeated testing.
