# Create an Analysis-Focused Dashboard

## About Dashboards

Epiphany gives you the power to choose the way it presents data to you, so you can always see what matters most to you. Epiphany includes many *widgets* you can add to a *dashboard*. You can name and save your dashboard, so you can have easy access to the information you need on a regular basis.

When you log into Epiphany for the first time, you’ll see a blank dashboard.

Any time you want to make a new dashboard, just select **New Dashboard** in the left navigation menu and it will be ready to populate with your chosen components.

Once you’ve created a dashboard, you can select it at any time from the left navigation menu, under **Dashboards**. Your dashboard may only include a few widgets, or it may include all of Epiphany’s widgets. You get to decide how much information you want to view at one time. Additionally, you can create multiple dashboards.

## Building a Dashboard

It’s easy to build a dashboard.

1. In the left navigation menu, select **Dashboards** and then select **New Dashboard**.

2. On the far right of the **New Dashboard** page, select the toolbox icon <img src="https://4132260347-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ftkp3obVDMu3n9ZTUpfEP%2Fuploads%2FkGsUNw0ucnRKZfq9GIrC%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=2194ef7c-7287-4342-947a-5e659f738ab0" alt="" data-size="line"> to expand the New **Dashboard** menu.&#x20;

3. The New Dashboard menu lists all the widgets you can add to a dashboard. The list is long, so you'll need to scroll to see the entire list. Select **Enable edit mode** at the top of the menu. \

When you are finished editing, select **Disable Edit Mode** to turn editing off.&#x20;

8. Many widgets support variable column width sizing - when you are in edit mode you will see a resize hot corner on the bottom right of the widget window - you can use this to make the widget larger or smaller.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://4132260347-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ftkp3obVDMu3n9ZTUpfEP%2Fuploads%2FvVmtlEmxh96r5O035ihj%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c1c2fe15-2a5f-4e04-b6f9-dba0b73e7a7e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
